The auspicious Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra, in Puri, is considered one of the world's largest religious festivals. The festival, also known as the Chariot Festival attracts millions of devotees and tourists from across the globe. Lasting nine days, the Yatra features a grand procession of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra –through the Bada Danda on elaborately decorated wooden sacred chariots to Shree Gundicha Temple, which is situated at a distance of 3 km from the Shree Mandir. The rhythmic chants, vibrant colours, and the sheer scale of the event create a spiritually charged atmosphere. After seven days of stay at Shree Gundicha Temple, the deities make their return journey to Shree Mandira, called Bahuda Yatra.
